7° FESTIVAL CINEMATIC AMICORTI IFF
AmiCorti International Film Festival was born in 2019 with the aim of making every aspect of cinema known to everyone and to the Cuneo area in Piedmont. There are many film festivals in Italy and around the world, but it is never enough to talk about the magical world of cinema and cinematic content. Each film festival is similar and at the same time unique in its context in many aspects, such as: the choice of the cinematographic format and the themes that inspire it, the choice of the language it uses and the films it involves. Film festivals aim to give space to unreleased films, almost always by auteur artists. The most notable difference of film festivals is the Award symbol of recognition. AmiCorti IFF stands out for the Golden Strawberry, because it was born in the area where the strawberry led the agri-economic development of Peveragno since the early 1900s.
However, the AmiCorti film festival was born above all to raise awareness of the Seventh Art closely among young people in the area and to use cinema as a tool for social education and morphological didactics. In the following pages you will find a brief description of the AmiCorti international film festival, its history in the world of the Seventh Art and how it has grown in the sector, the advantages and difficulties of social coexistence.
